- What will be included in my quotation?
Our quotation provides you with the transparency required to ensure that the work we have quoted will give you the result you are expecting.
The quotation provided to you is a comprehensive fixed price and a list of inclusions/exclusions which provides a high level of detail about the work to be undertaken. Our quotation includes the full scope of works required for your project which generally includes the approvals and certification works, through to completion.
We will meet with you in person to discuss the quotation in detail and explain some of the technical terms to ensure that you understand the quotation provided.
- Are we protected by insurance during construction?
Aghapy Homes has all the legislated insurance coverage that is required to undertake the building process in the NSW. We currently hold the following:
• Public liability insurance
• Workers compensation insurance
• Housing Indemnity Insurance
• Home Warranty Insurance
- How do I know that the work you do meets current building regulations and standards?
We hold a current builders Licence and only employ, qualified and licensed professionals to undertake work. During the building process, the works we complete are checked by qualified engineer, building certifiers/Local Council and NSW Fair Trading. After all works is done we can provide you with a copy of each inspection approval confirming that the work completed has met the relevant requirements and at the completion of the project you will be provided with a ‘certificate of occupancy’ which is issued by the relevant state authority upon satisfactory completion of the building works.
- Who arranges connection of Electricity, Gas and Telephone?
Generally, it is the owner’s responsibility to arrange these items. Keep in touch with us to find out the correct time to arrange these connections.
- Can I keep any leftover building materials? What is the procedure?
Sometimes you may be able to keep excess materials (eg. Bricks, Tiles ) but you must arrange this with us and have written permission.
- Do post contract variations delay work on my dream home and cost more?
Variations requested after the colour and materials selection has been completed will always delay progress and will cost significantly more than adjustments made before the plans and specifications are finalised. It is better to avoid post-contract changes.
- What if I want to vary something in my dream home after signing the contract? What is the procedure?
Variations must be put in writing and given to us. Refer to our contract terms about variations.
- Can I discuss or instruct the builder’s sub-contractors when I visit the site as pre-arranged?
Any instructions or changes Must be directed to the builder, owner should not contact or give any instructions to sub-contractors. Due to requirements of the builder’s insurance policy, you should not visit the site unless you have permission from the builder.
- Can I choose my own products and finishes?
Yes for sure, as custom builders we provide you with the flexibility to make your home exactly how you want and to include the products and finishes you prefer, we do have our preferred suppliers and brands, we will provide to you a listing of our supplier, you are not restricted to particular brands or models stipulated by us.
- When do I arrange my own house and contents insurance?
You should arrange applicable cover for your house and contents from the day you take occupancy of your new dream home.
- What's your process for inspection at key points of construction, at final walk-through, and to address any matters that need to be corrected or finalized?
There is a mandatory inspection that has to be done by council/private certifier before and after each major stage - such as before concrete slab pour and after frame and waterproofing.
- How long will my home take to complete?
4-6 months for a single story house and 6-8 months for a double story.
- How often (and when) will I have access to the home during the building process?
You can visit the site as often as you want after arrange the times with your site supervisor or builder.
- How and when will the final price for my home be determined?
Your final contract price will be finalised after the final design has been approved by you.
- How many years have you been in business?
We have been in business for more than nine years in Australia and around seven years in the USA with a long history of customer satisfaction.
- How many homes have you built?
We have built over 100 of different types of residential and commercial homes and buildings.
- Are you licensed and insured?
Aghapy Constructions is a fully licensed building company with a NSW Fair Trading building license and is fully insured.
- How do you compare yourself to other builders? ?
Aghapy construction is a unique building company as we offer a high level of customer service, and customisation to make all our customers happy from the first meeting to the project hand-over.

All our homes are environmentally friendly as we use a high-performance insulation for roofs and external walls and ceilings.
- What type of warranty do you offer?
Aghapy construction offer a seven year construction and six month maintenance warranty.
- Can you give me references from prior home buyers?
We are more than happy to provide you with a recently completed project list with all contact details. Our customers are happy to give references as required.
- Do you build only from home plans you supply? Or can I provide my own set of plans?
Aghapy constructions can fully customise your plan to meet your dream home and we have our own pre-designed projects you can choose from.
- What standard features do your homes include? What options and upgrades can I select?
We have our standard inclusions and our customers can upgrade whatever they like with no admin fees to change or upgrade.
- Who will oversee the construction of my home?
A licensed and highly qualified builder or supervisor will be looking after your project from start to end.
- How and when can I make changes or upgrades before and during construction?
All structural changes or modifications should be finalised before submitting all plans to council. Internal upgrades can be modified/changed or upgraded anytime.
